Tim Ingram

Tim Ingram is Health Commissioner of Hamilton County Public Health, an agency with an operating budget of $12.7 million serving a resident population of more than 460,000 people in 43 political jurisdictions. Agency activities include immunization clinics, TB control, disease surveillance and investigation, health promotion programs, public health preparedness, environmental health inspection and licensing. 

Before coming to this position in 1993, he was the Public Health Administrator for the Clermont County General Health District for 7 years.  Prior to his public service in Clermont County, Mr. Ingram held positions in the private and public sectors.

Mr. Ingram is a member of several organizations and serves on boards at the state and local level that focus on public health, environmental, emergency response, and social issues.  Within Hamilton County, he currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Hamilton County Family and Children First Council and the Policy Committee of the Hamilton County Solid Waste District. He also serves on the Executive Stakeholder’s Council Aligning Sustainable Health Care Solutions for Greater Cincinnati.

In 2009, Mr. Ingram was elected to the Mercy Health Partners Southwest Ohio Board of Trustees. 

From 2007-2009, Mr. Ingram was chair of the Board of Trustees for Health Bridge, a nationally recognized regional health information technology organization and continues to serve as a Board member. He is closely involved in the Infant Mortality Reduction project with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Cincinnati Health Department. 

On the state level, the Governor appointed Mr. Ingram to the Ohio Tobacco Prevention and Control Foundation in 2000.  He served the Foundation in several leadership positions including chair in 2005-2007.  A current member of the Association of Ohio Health Commissioners, he served as its president in 2000.

His leadership was acknowledged by the Association of Ohio Health Commissioners with the President’s Award in 2010 and the American Society for Public Administration—Greater Cincinnati Chapter when he was awarded the Public Administrator of the Year in 1996. He has published several articles in a variety of professional journals. 

Mr. Ingram holds a B.S. from The Ohio State University and a M.S. from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Registered Sanitarian with the State of Ohio.  He holds memberships in the National Environmental Health Association, American Public Health Association and the National Association of County and City Health Officials.
