Health educators in the Division of Health Promotion and Education work to increase the amount of physical activity residents achieve through awareness, community programs, assessment, policy development and environmental change. Senior-specific programs such as Chair Volleyball and Active for Life, are also available at area senior, community and assisted living centers, retirement communities and churches.

Staff also work with area School Health Advisory Councils to improve healthy eating opportunities for staff and students through policy and environmental changes.
