Jennifer Mooney, PhD Joins Hamilton County Public Health

HAMILTON COUNTY, OHIO – Jennifer Mooney, PhD is joining Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) as Assistant Health Commissioner, Community Health Services, beginning June 17.

Dr. Mooney brings more than 20 years of public health experience to HCPH, having served as Family Health Division Director with the Cincinnati Health Department since 2011.  At HCPH, she will oversee the Disease Prevention, Emergency Preparedness, Epidemiology and Health Promotion and Education divisions.

“I am pleased Dr. Mooney is joining our team,” says Hamilton County Health Commissioner Tim Ingram.  “Her experience will be a great addition.”

“It’s a privilege to continue to work in public health and I look forward to working with my new team,” Dr. Mooney said.

Dr. Mooney received her doctorate in sociology from the University of Kentucky.  She also holds graduate certification in applied statistics and has studied and worked with the criminal justice system.

            Hamilton County Public Health works to assure the 480,000 citizens living outside the cities of Cincinnati, Norwood and Springdale are safe from disease, injury and contamination.
