The Infectious Diseases Clinic is a joint venture of the University Hospital, UC Health and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The Medical Director of the clinic is Dr. Jennifer Forrester, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine. The Infectious Diseases Clinic is staffed by 11 attending physicians specializing in infectious diseases, internal medicine and psychiatry.

The ACTU is the clinical and translational research unit of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine centered in the Infectious Diseases Division. The Principal Investigator of the ACTU is Dr. Carl J. Fichtenbaum, Professor of Clinical Medicine. The ACTU is staffed by 5 attending physicians specializing in infectious diseases and gastrointestinal medicine, 7 registered nurses/study coordinators, and 8 allied health providers and administrative personnel.

The TriHealth Infectious Diseases group provides a full array of treatment and consultation to Greater Cincinnati, including services in infection control, consultation, HIV treatment, research and more. Physicians are on staff and attend to patients at locations including Good Samaritan and Bethesda Hospitals.


Board Certified Physicians

Each of our physicians is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Christ Hospital

​​​​​​​​​Our infectious disease specialists diagnose and treat severe or complicated infections, unusual infections, surgical site infections, and HIV infection.

We provide a wide range of diagnostic, consultation, evaluation, treatment and prevention services for adult patients with acute and chronic infectious diseases. We care for both hospitalized patients and patients requiring office visits. Both inpatient and outpatient care require a doctor’s referral.​
