If you do not currently have a regular family physician or medical insurance coverage, there are resources available to help you and your family receive the medical care you need. Immunizations are also available through several Hamilton County Public Health locations across the county.

Dental Services

Dental OPTIONS Sponsored by the Ohio Dental Association and the Ohio Department of Health, this program links people in need with dentists who have agreed to treat approved patients for reduced fees. For information, call 1-888-765-6789. More information is also available through the Ohio Dental Association.

Ohio Department of Health Safety Net Dental Care Programs These programs provide dental treatment services and generally are operated by local health departments, community health centers, hospitals and other organizations within a community. A Safety Net program offers sliding fee schedules, reduced fees or free care to those who cannot afford a private dentist. To use this service, call the Dental OPTIONS phone number above and ask to be forwarded to a Safety Net Dental Care coordinator in your area.


Prescription Drug Coverage

Ohio’s Best RX Prescription Drug Discount Program A free prescription drug discount program for Ohio residents who have no other prescription drug coverage and meet certain income qualifications. Information available at 1-866-923-7879.

Pfizer Helpful Answers Pfizer Inc provides free or discounted medicines for uninsured Americans, regardless of age or income level. Information available at 1-866-706-2400.

Together RX Access Savings on more than 275 medicines to uninsured low-income Americans who do not qualify for Medicare and who meet income and eligibility requirements. Information available at 1-800-444-4106.

Medicare The official U.S. Government site for Americans with Medicare. Information available at 1-800-MEDICARE.

Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) provides free information and other health insurance services to people in Ohio covered by Medicare, regardless of age.


Government Health Care

Many families struggle with affording health care coverage. For those who may not have medical insurance available through jobs or who have substandard coverage, there are programs available to help. Healthy Start & Healthy Families is a program that can help families stay healthy and strong. It is free for children from birth to age 19 and pregnant women. Eligibility is based on income.
